Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Leh
Arrive at Leh Airport (11,500 ft). Transfer to hotel for acclimatization. Complete rest day to adjust to high altitude. Evening visit to Leh Market and Shanti Stupa for sunset views. Overnight in Leh.
Day 2: Leh Local Sightseeing
Full day exploring Leh including Leh Palace, Hall of Fame Museum, and Magnetic Hill. Visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and experience the confluence of Indus and Zanskar rivers. Evening at leisure for shopping in Leh market.
Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La
Early morning drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (18,380 ft), one of the world's highest motorable roads. Check into camp/hotel in Hunder. Afternoon camel safari on double-humped Bactrian camels in sand dunes. Overnight in Nubra Valley.
Day 4: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake
Morning visit to Diskit Monastery and giant Buddha statue. Drive to Pangong Lake (14,270 ft) via Shyok River route. Enjoy the changing colors of the pristine lake. Overnight camping near Pangong Lake.
Day 5: Pangong Lake to Leh
Early morning enjoy sunrise over Pangong Lake. Drive back to Leh via Chang La Pass (17,590 ft). En route visit Hemis Monastery, the largest and wealthiest monastery in Ladakh. Evening at leisure in Leh.
Day 6: Leh to Alchi & Likir
Day trip to Alchi and Likir monasteries. Visit the ancient Alchi Monastery with its unique Indo-Tibetan architecture. Explore Likir Monastery and its giant Buddha statue. Return to Leh for overnight stay.
Day 7: Departure
Morning at leisure for last-minute shopping. Transfer to Leh Airport for departure. End of services.
